Details of the activity

A childhood home… in miniature! Opened in 2014, the museum benefits from a collection strongly linked to time and history ... The first display cases created by Annie Jaurès are already over 40 years old and were born from the memory of this octogenarian artist, always alert and active, who , year after year, has shaped new showcases. Originally, there is the childhood memory of a beautiful bourgeois house in Fontenay aux Roses, near Paris, where she grew up, then the sudden death of her father who had promised to give her a house in doll. Deprived of this childhood “dream”, Annie later found, through art and the staging of her memories, a beautiful way to come to terms with this sad and abrupt past. Her father's office, her little girl's room, the artist's studio… come back to life with Annie's features and memories. Her artistic passion helping her to reclaim the lost wonder of the little girl she was… It is therefore the details of the memory allied to an artistic imagination that come to compose and illuminate this sixty unique showcases.
